Hello - I am new to this site and I have just acquired a Royal PowerCast 9200 - Actually my 1st old Classic Vacuum - I just love the styling and hope to be able to restore it. She has had a hard life, but mechanically runs well - main issue now is that she does not roll - needs 3 make that 4 new wheels.(Tires - I own a 1964 Studebaker Avanti by Raymond Lowey's Design Team - Lowey also did a redesign for Singer for their 1946 Upright Vacuum). In checking the vendors that are still in business - the wheels are No Longer Available - In reading a number of threads there was mention of some true repair shops(like the Vacuum Hospital)in North Carolina that had been parting out some PowerCast's. I would appreciate any information regarding these repair shops, or parts sources. I live in the Dallas Texas area, I have looked for parts and Vacuum Repair Shops in the general area, and basically 80% of them are out of business, and the others were not interested in Royals, just the new German machines and doing cleaning and belt changes. Any assistance would be appreciated.

I hope someone can steer you to a parts source!

Best of luck!

Great vacuum score, i have yet to see one in person. Yours it the TOL of 3 models: RY9000 blue bol, RY9100 red mol, and RY9200 gray tol.

I do not know what exactly differentiates them, i think it is warranty, attachment quality and motor(s).
The RY9200 i think being the only 2 motor machine OF THE 3, is it?

Here is a place still selling them..

Vintage.....

Actually, this is not a vintage machine, and isn't as old as you might think. It has a classic look, but is a modern machine. They can still be found new, or nearly new from time to time.

The vacuum cleaner hospital in my area is nor more.the owner died.So parts for Powercasts in my area are gone.Have two of these vacuums.Don't like them-the direct air metals are moreefficient, lighter, more rugged than the Powercast.
