Some brands I know are still made in the US but I can't think of a few others that are made in the US.

The ones that I can think of are Tacony, Oreck, Kirby, ClearTrak, Vacumaid, Vacuflo, and MD. I hear Hoover and Royal is being made in the US again and I hear Aerus may not be made in the US anymore in the future. Are there any other companies that I might have missed or didn't know they were made in the US?

As far as I know, these companies also manufacture their vacuum cleaners in the US: InterVac Design Corp, Metropolitan Vacuum Cleaner, Rexair, and Shop-Vac.

These days, one needs to research to be sure. Gone is the era when most US companies made their manufacturing locations known to the public (and perhaps even their sales representatives) by including them on their product name plates and in owner's manuals (often even including pictures). Now, those--and even websites--typically only include their headquarters.

I prefer to buy appliances--small and large--from companies that at least make their manufacturing plant locations available on their websites--if not on their product nameplates.

Only one model of Aerus is not made in the US. If I am correct that is the Legacy. My Classic was USA made which was why I went with that model. Aerus website will tell you which models are USA manufactured.

I also noticed that Sandia claims to be manufactured in the US.

And I believe WalVac is also made in the US. I saw online that Sanitaire is made in the US but I don't believe it, I think Sanitaire and Sandia is assembled here but I don't think they are made in the US.
