I took apart the transmission and lubricated with grease it since there was little grease and most of the squealing stopped, but it still squeals a little bit. Does anyone know know if there's something I missed ?

Send me an email, and I will scan the service manual for the Concept and send it to you.

Andy R....

Told Phillip that he doesn't even have the service manual in question. Repairman, If  I were you I would just go buy the Powerdrive Dial.A.Matic service manual off the Automatic Ephemera section of the site. The Power Drive Transmission is the same machine in both machines, and is serviced in the same manner...

I think I have the DAM service manual as well. I'll have a look and see if it showdls the transmission assembly.

Ok, there is nothing in my books about the Transmission assembly, but there are 2 pages about how to properly adjust it. Would you like those?

Your case being what, exactly? I recall Fred Statnik telling us Hoover stopped putting transmission disassembly in the service books after a certain year. Off the top of my head, I want to say he said it was the Mid 80's. They just wanted to sell a whole transmission. I don't know what year my service book was printed, but evidently it was after they quit adding those instructions.
So I return to my question. Your case being...?

My case is......

A. You lied to this poor man about having said literature in the first place.

B. I don't care what you or Fred S, or you say on the matter, you are the same kid whom recommended someone use a Convertible with out a belt or a brush roll. So you pretty much have no conception of what to do, and what not to do.

C. If this man wants to service his Concept transmission, and has the courage to do so...I give points to him! I know you wouldn't be able to do it...

No harm to anybody

I'm sorry for starting this argument and I apologize for it. No one was lying to me anyway since this was last resort before selling it. I don't even want a Concept as I am more interested in the Dial A Matic Range since that's what I grew up with.

I believe there is a dial a matic service guide that can be purchased in the section that has manuals you can download and pay a small fee.
I believe there is a part in there to fully disassemble the dial a matic transmission which is the same transmission. Very valuable info to have if you collect powerdrive units.
