I didn't realize that Hoover had a two speed unit so early. Does the Model 825, look any different? How does it change speeds?

I consulted the Goggle and couldn't find any info. Can anyone suggest where to look?

The 825 is a little odd. theres a 3 way switch on the handle. Its got low speed, high speed, and off positions. It is very streamlined... it was a big change in design from all earlier models... handle switches positions with no lever and just a pull down or a push up will change its position, all ball bearings... headlight that has a switch... Pretty fancy. Pics soon ill show some of the motor, inside of it. and the outside. And the switch.

Here's my 825. Also love the way the name (just above the headlight) is lit in red when it's running. One of my favorite older Hoovers, it was a gift several years ago from a fellow collector who was downsizing.

The Hoover 825 was the last of the 'deluxe' coffee can motor models. It shared the two speed motor with the models 750 and 800. Love Henry Dreyfuss's color touches on the bag.

And of course, following the model 825 is the Infamous Hoover One-Fifty!
