Jae,
You are quite welcome! BTW - here's a red Adjust-O-Rite plate if you ever want one. Link: http://www.ebay.com/itm/ROYAL-UPRIGHT-40... ~Ben |

It seems you are the ONLY one whom took interest in this thread. I thought there were others on this forum that liked Royal... |

Royal is my all time favorite upright, I wouldn't trade mine for all the others combined. |

Nice 801 you have there, and you can't beat the price! Royals and Electro-Hygienes make up the biggest part of my collection. The 801 is definitely a Royal, the Electro-Hygiene equivalent would be the model 285. Kind of unusual to see a Royal with an Electro-Hygiene bag, usually it's the other way around, as EH bags are generally harder to find than Royal bags. A little elbow grease and some Mother's Mag and it will be absolutely beautiful!
Here are pics of my 801's. The one with the blue bag was built in 1974, the one with the beige bag was built in 1975, and the one with the unusual "side-saddle" bag was built in the early 1960s. Jeff |
