I currently own a Volt Powernozzle-Love the thing-It inspired me to buy a Simplicity Freedom Cordless machine. When I got the new machine home tried listening and feeling the discharged air from both the Volt and the Freedom. The Freedom was much more powerful.So----I visited the vac place and asked Mike to order the more powerful motor like the new Simplicity has.Got it a week later-Mike and I put it in my Volt.Tried it--and WOW!!!makes a difference.Makes a great thing even BETTER!For the experts --are the new motors going to be used in the future Volt nozzles-The run time is slightly less-but better performance!

Please look at the model number of your Simplicity Freedom. Does it read S10CV or does it read S10CV.2?

My Simplicity Freedom is the S10CV.2 .Compared this newer one to the older S10CV at the vac shop.He has that older one and the new version is more powerful. It does shorten the run time from the battery from 1 hr to 45 min.The motor put into my powernozzle is a replacement for the S10CV.2.In appearance the motor looked identical to the older version.Figure the new motor has slightly lower resistence rotor windings no it will load the battery slightly more and turn faster-which it does. The ".2" motor fit my powernozzle just fine! Mike and I installed it in less than 10 min!The old motor is being kept as a spare.Maybe you should try this and see how your Volt does!Bet you will notice an improvement! The replacement motor was not expensive. It has the fan and fancase already on it.Just drop in and hook up!

volt 2

Perhaps there will be a second generation volt. If the new motor makes that much difference, I think it should be used in the volt as well, even if the run time is shorter.

Will there be a "Volt 2"? Maybe I now have the first one. Will have to see what comes out next!

You do have the first .2 Volt power nozzle. Currently, they do not want to use the more powerful motor in the Volt due to the extremely high suction of some central vacs (like the SilentMaster S5 for example). The dealer can always do a retrofit of the new motor if the customer wants it, but it would work best with a Beam or other lower suction central vac.

new motor performance

Kind of makes you wonder if there is a performance difference. With the Freedom, that's the only motor in the system, so you would probably notice a difference, but when you have the suction of a central vacuum, or even a canister vacuum, I wonder if it makes much difference.

heb160

I actually find the wessel-werk heb160 does really well on couches and matresses, I have not tried a side kick or power mate junior. Has anyone tried the volt with a couch or matress?

So far have been using my Pimpted Volt with other vacuums-will try with my MD Silentmaster 15A 120V central vac.

Tried my Pimpted Volt with my Silentmaster-ran it for about 20Min-no problem. The new motor doesn't overheat.Used only 1 "bar" on the battery level. The performance isn't much different here.It makes the most difference with lower power vacuums-such as regular canisters.
