I wound up with a Miele Delphi S2 yesterday. The owner said that it was around 6mos to a year old. so far it seems to be a nice cleaner however it does have a couple of drawbacks, the hose isn't very long, the cord is short, and last but not least the power nozzle isn't the greatest but it works. Seems like it has a turbine power head brushroll in it. The things I do like about it is that it is lightweight , easy to use, powerful and good for a quick cleanup. What do you guys think? How many people on here own one of these?

I do like Miele vacuums-BUT--don't like some of their shortcomings-short hoses and cords-and the "doll dust" brushes. The machines do perform really well and are quiet to use. They filter well, too.

It's a good

vacuum. Their entry level line. Not a sealed system like the C2, and c3's though, but it filters quite well with an added hepa filter.
I think David (Suckolux) has one.
He said it's a bit cumbersome, but he likes it.

I've had 2 Miele canisters and one was my only vacuum for many years. I don't currently own one, but do have many other vacuums. There was a lot to be said for the Mieles. They were reliable. Folks here like to complain about the tools being too small, but I currently have a Riccar Prima and EVERY TIME I use it, the tools fall off the handle. Far more annoying than small tools. Also, random parts have fallen off of both the Riccar vacuums I own. Never happened with the Miele vacuums. I do agree that the hose is too short on the Miele and the turbo nozzles, in my opinion, are not at all good. One final plug for Miele is that when I decided to sell them (and I've sold 3), they all sold very quickly and at a much higher percentage of purchase price than any other brand I've sold.

I had a flamenco years ago and thought the power was great! Hose was long and cord wasn't too bad. This machine the hose is short as is the cord. The powerhead thankfully is electric but the brushroll looks to be that from an air powered turbine nozzle so grooming isn't 5 star and yes it filters rather well. I was just curious to know who owned one of these as a friend of mine owns the titan and loves it

I have definitely become a fan of Miele vacs. The C1/S2 basic line-up is great value for the money: lightweight, quiet, powerful, easy-to-use and easy-to-store, effective. If you need a longer reach, the more deluxe C3 series has longer cords, hoses and wands.

My only gripe is the size of the wheels: I much prefer two large standard wheels on the rear of a canister so that it can more easily ride over the cord or thresholds. But I have learnt to live with Miele wheels since the canisters are very easy to pick-up if need be.

I also like the wide array of optional attachments that are available, including a nice soft universal wide dusting brush.
