Found this DC25 3 days ago. I am not a huge fan of dyson but I am not complaining as this vacuum was free and cost nothing. I was walking home from school and I was passing a skip ( I usually take a look in skips for thrown out vacuums but only if I am passing) and I saw this vacuum. I straight away new it was a dyson because of the way it was shaped but could not tell which model because there was general rubbish in the skip covering the top half of the cleaner body. It was still a vacuum though so I was going to take it regardless of the make and model. I was just going to yank it out when I saw the owner of the house so I asked him if I could take it instead and he said yes. He went and pulled it out the skip for me and told me the reason he thrown it out was because the vacuum cleaner would not stand in the upright position. I thanked him and carried the dyson home. When I got back home I began work on it right away. The reason why it would not stand upright was because the red foot pedal pin had come out of the groove (picture attached) so I popped it back in with a screw driver and everything was fine with the DC25. plaster dust had most unfortunately been poured all over the dyson when it was in the skip and as a result was severely mucky. After a good clean down from me though it was fine. you can watch my short little video clip on the DC25 before refurbishment on my youtube channel which is called jake McIntyre. The only downside is the DC25 only came with one attachment which was the upholstery nozzle but it should be a problem getting a cheap copy of the crevice nozzle from amazon. overall, it's not bad for a free vacuum! it's nice to have especially if you are a collector but I don't think I would have bought one at the time when they were out in the shops though.
In the last part of my paragraph I meant to put it should NOT be a problem getting a cheap copy crevice tool from amazon but accidentally I said it SHOULD be a problem getting a cheap copy from amazon. oh dear!
