Just found this dustette today at a nearby antique shop. It was only 3 dollars and I really like the look of it, so I jumped on it. Can anybody tell me the age of this and anything they might know about them? Also it says it was made in England, but Idk if all dustettes are like that or if this is something special. It does infact work

Come to think of it almost all Dustettes hail from England. I have a model 1015 and from what I read it ranges from the early to mid 50s. The model 2720 you possess might be from the late 50s early 60s judging by the style and color scheme.
Certainly the one I've never seen! The most common are the ones from the 80s, followed by the 1015 and then the first variation of the dustette.

Looks to use the same bag material that they used in their convertible line.

For $3 that's one heck of a score! Hope it doesn't need service (Dustettes are a bit of a pain to disassemble and service)

This looks to me to be close to the Convertible 68 colors. The 68 was 1961 only.
Don't quote me on this at all as the color may be distorted by the pic??

You are correct. VERY EARLY 60s.. like 1961

Great to see one with the VINYL bag.....yes, from the Convertible family. It takes paper bags....when the paper bag craze began . It also came in a greenish (like Neptune green) color scheme. The others take the traditional cloth "shakeout" bag type. A great find there.

Cool info

I was guessing frm the color that it may have been around that age but I wasn't really sure, since I really didn't know much of anything about dustettes. Thanks for your compliments! I tried searching everywhere on the internet for one that looked like this but I havn't found one yet that is exact.
