Hi all,

Been away a while. I know this is an age old question that all us collectors get asked. I have a Hoover Junior 370 with the very rare original bag. Needless to say when I saw the listing I realised what I was looking at. I could not click the BIN button fast enough.

I am curious to know from the UK collectors on here what that would be worth nowadays??

Till I can get a few photos uploaded I will put a copy of the listing photo for now. Has been cleaned and scrubbed down and is ready for action!!! The outer bag has a paper bag inside to protect it from any further mass dust bunnies. For 81 years old she is still in fine fettle for her age.

I just can't believe my luck!!

Now I know why I stayed away. Feels like I am not welcome here. I just wanted to share with the UK collectors a very rare piece of housekeeping history.

I was only asking what the bag would be worth just out of curiosity. I have an original hoover 700 bag that I would like to list soon for sale as I no longer have the machine. Vintage vacs are not fetching as much as they used to and I don't want the bag to go too cheap as it is in near perfect condition.

OH WELL, I still hope to upload new pics of my 370 soon.

Im sorry I haven't been on this in a while very cool machine! Probably the original bag would come around, in its condition probably $300 or 270 £

370 bag value

Hello Hooverdude,

The whole equipment appears to be in very good and complete condition and if you were to put the whole package up for sale/auction then the value could only be arrived at from the final bid / selling price.

Although early 370 bags are rare I personally think it's very difficult to place approximate values let alone specific ones against whole machines / parts.

I don't know how much you paid for the whole ensemble but it certainly IS A RARE BEAUTY!!!

If it was me I'd hold on it.

How does it run? Is there any bearing play; the 370 bearings were impossible to replace!!

Regards, Walter, SHROPSHIRE, West Midlands.

Hi Walter,

I do indeed plan to hold on to this one. I have seen many a 370 on here and on youtube and have never seen or come across an original bag. The motor runs fine with no strange noises. Next time I see another 370 I will buy it for a donor machine. Always good to have spare parts for a good vac. My flat is 20s-30s style in decor so it fits right in here.

It must have just been listed when I saw it.. I saw it could be delivered and it had a buy it now feature. I had to buy it then and there as it would not have been on there long. I paid £59.99 for it which is also why the auction would not have gone on for long.

I hope to get an after market replacement bag for this so I can put the original away for safe keeping. Most 370 models I see have the solid black bag with yellow lettering and stripes running down the front. I hope to find one at some point. If you know any collectors that might have one I have an original model 700 bag they could have for it.

Gary. WIMBORNE, Dorset.
