Hi all-
Anyone out there have a hose or hose end that fits a Eureka golden crown 960 vacuum? I'm not looking for perfection or even color match. This has been sitting in its box for 20+ years due to the hose being broken. I've checked ebay sporadically and haven't found anything that fits. Since I'm mainly a hoover upright guy I am not real familiar with what fits this model and what doesn't. Any help out there would be greatly appreciated!!!
Thanks,
Eric

Is that

a 1985-ish Eldorado Bairritz? Nice!

Oh...

There's a Cadillac in the picture? LOLOL...ducks and runs.
I think that is a 80-ish Biarritz conversion convertible now that I see the car, but may be off.

Very nice car!

As for your Eureka hose, it looks identical to one from a 1000 series Mobile Air canned ham vibra beat.
Some one on here has to have an extra. Plenty were made in pea green and cream with that hose elbow.
Heavy machine for a five year old to be lifting up and down all day. Put me in the hospital with an aggravated congenital hernia.

A couple I used to hang with in my hometown (Peoria, Il.) had one just like this only red interior. Her husband was the top Lincoln salesman in the midwest for years but had connections with other dealers. Her first conversion was a "77 Grand Prix, she always "had to have" a convertible. I think they sent them to a place in Florida to do the "top chopping". She let me borrow them whenever I wanted the top down feeling, and they really got the attention from other drivers. I used to know what the conversion fee was and I want to say $4K, but don't remember if that was dealer or consumer cost.

Eric, I will check with my local vac shops on a hose/connector for you, it surprises me sometimes the "stuff" they have in boxes of parts.

I have

a '77 GP LJ. I've never seen a convertible conversion. I wonder if it retains body rigidity with the top chopped.
My friend used to have a '72 leMans convert., and when it was up on a hoist, the door binded on the rocker sill.

Still looking for a 960 hose end

er71gt's profile picture
Hey guys-
I'm still searching the world for a hose that will fit my Eureka 960. I've had this vacuum for 20 years and no luck finding a hose. Any shape will do as long as the coupling end that goes into the machine is good. Any help out there would be greatly appreciated !!!

Thanks,
Eric

Eureka Coupler needed

I was looking at old vacs on ebay and saw the coupler (correct description?) in with a bunch of tools for a vacuum. Dig thru ebay, and I will as well, and see if we can find it!
