Do youy have the

Electrolux Rapido?
Dust and debris on hard flooring is lighter, and needs less suction.
If wood floors are well sealed with poly eurerthane, a wet cleaning machine such as the Hoover floor mate spin scrub may be used.

I see there has been an

apartment building collapse there. Thoughts and prayers for those people.
I count my blessings everyday.

India/Asia doesn't get that many vacuums - cue the thread I did on our family Eureka-Forbes vacuum cleaner. I know Panasonic sell in some regions but not all.

There should be a soft delicate brush attachment available - but whether this is available as a single part in Dhaka, I don't know. Generally I know my family in India just sweep floors as opposed to vacuuming - far less effort to trundle out the old thing.

That is

the same floor brush which came with my Eureka-Lux Oxygen model 6997.
I think we will see more vacuums available in Bangladesh. They've made good strides so far.

To be honest there is no actual need for a vacuum cleaner in places like Bangladesh. Even luxury homes have more open spaces for less dust to collect and swept out doors.

Are you considering the Sanyo style vacs? They have adequate floor heads and are available in our region,Ive sen a few as I'm ethnically from the subcontinent aswell,(Pakistan). They dont have to be Sanyo, you get the Panasonic ones as well, all the same really. You could try OLX as loads of people sell imported vacs on there, from England.

Bissell sells an Indian version of the Bissell Symphony - it vacuums and wipes bare floors in one go! See the link below.....

Guys, though Id point out that Dhaka is in Bangladesh, not much difference between the 3 countries of Pakistan,India and Bangladesh, there may be shipping differences with certain vacs, like France and Germany, next to each-other but differ.

Yep, Dhaka is in Bangladesh and there's also Amazon.co.in but the Indian site doesn't have many vacs for sale, either big tub styles or stick vac things. In reality with it being so hot and dusty, there's very little point to needing a vacuum cleaner. Some homes do have them but with the nature of damp hot air versus dry heat mostly all year around, even operating a vacuum cleaner can get too hot for the actual appliance as well as using it.

Most homes have plenty of mops in which floors are washed or even manually doing it. Sweepers are common for carpet rugs installed in homes more for a stylish point rather than one of practicality. That's not to say that all homes have hard floors or rugs on hard floors, but the majority do.
