Hello Vacuumland, today I've bought an Electrolux model Ze62 fromGumtree for $60, which I thought was reasonable. I believe it's from between 1957 and 1959. Can anybody help me date this?

One major thing I need help on is the hose, it's taped up near the handle grip, but apart from that it's in reasonable condition and different from what I usually go for.

Thanks. Nathan.

@pinkge

Yes, it runs really well. I found that to be no surprise for me given how well-made machines were back then.

Hi Nate94

Another great Aussie made Electrolux. A very popular vac that sold for decades in it's current style but different colour schemes.

You shouldn't have any hassle finding an original replacement hose, would just have to spend some time looking in second hand stores, gumtree or ebay.

Did you see the RED Hoover 419 in exceptional condition on there. Attached a pic

cheers

mike
