So I figured I would tell the story about how I got this Eectrolux upright. One day the guy at the vacuum store I go to called me up and said hey I have a mint condition Electrolux upright that a guy gave to YOU when I told him you collect vacuums. Come by any time and pick up at your convenience. Of course being me I came by in the matter of a few days. When I saw this thing my mouth dropped. There is not one single scuff, mark or scratch on this machine whatsoever. It even came with the manual and some new bags. I wanted to share this because the guy that gave me this is a collecter himself and wanted to see if he was on vacuumland and give him a big thanks for giving this to me. His name is Charlie Watrous.

Charlie Watrous is the former President of the VCCC. He's one of the most knowledgeable people about vacuums I know. He has excellent taste, that's why your machine is flawless. He IS on Vacuumland, and makes the occasional post.

He recently gifted the Vacuum Cleaner Museum here in St. James, Missouri - several boxes of vintage New Old Stock vacuum cloth bags. The bags have been installed on all the vintage machines he gave us bags for, and now the cleaners look factory new. He's a great guy.

That is a most generous and thoughtful gift.

Always found these machines quite unique. Essentially it's a canister on a handle with a power nozzle plugged right into the inlet on the canister.

Beautiful example!

Charlie Watrous is

a great guy indeed. I have bought four vacuums from him and his vacuums are all in mint condition. I have a Kirby 519 and three Airways A Centurion (new in the box) a Tom Gasko Signature series, and finally a Model Mark 2 Model 88 with a Eureka power head (that one was his Grandmothers or Aunts) one or the other I can't remember which but needless to say they are all in mint condition.. And I am truly grateful to have them in my collection.. It is wonderful to have Charlie as a new friend./ I will cherish them always.. Dan

Tyler and others for your kind comments. Tyler, I am glad you are happy with this vacuum. I discussed it with Dan and he said he thought it would be something you would like. I hope to meet you sometime since we are nearby.

Tom, I am also glad the bags found a new home where they can be seen for many years to come. I may have more things coming your way! It is so nice that there is a museum where we can donate vacuums and parts to help the vintage things look nice and last for a long, long time.

I have one Chas Watrous machine, and if a Vacuum Sweeper enters his house, it leaves 7 times better than it came
