Mine, however, are all real HOOVERs.
I'll post some pics tonight.
Thanks for asking.

The only reason I put this in the commercial/industrial category is that it was ordered from either a Uline or Grainger catalog for use in a retail store where I worked for several years. The less than memorable alphanumeric model name is a good indicator that it wasn't meant for the consumer market. It's not exactly a big brute of a machine with a sub-$100 price tag to match, but it's got great suction. The only time I remember using it at the store was to suck up the remains of a smashed snow globe, liquid and all.

We used the machine so seldom that after a couple of years, the store manager decided it was taking up more space in our crowded stockroom than it was worth and told me to take it out back and pitch it into the dumpster, but quickly added that if I pitched it into the back of my car instead, she didn't want to know about it--plausible deniability and all that. She then spent the next few minutes as we were straightening and rearranging the stock room telling me what a nice machine it was and how she just hated to throw it away, not so subtly trying to convince me to take it home. Needless to say, I took the hint without voicing my decision and wheeled the machine and its attachments out the back door, covered it with a piece of cardboard to keep the rain off, and put it in the back of my car after I closed the store that night.

The machine now resides in my storage building and gets used about as often as it did at the store. The thing is about five years old and I doubt it has seen more than maybe an hour or two of use since it was new. I've only used it a couple of times in the three years I've had it but I have no complaint about its performance, given my modest needs and excessive (albeit modest compared to some of your collections) fleet of vacuums. For your viewing pleasure, I've included a link to a catalog listing at sustainablesupply.com that gives all its specs.

backpacks

I'm a big fan of the backpacks. I don't use them commercially, but they're great for every day cleaning of my apartment, you can check out my profile to see which ones I have. You really can clean faster with those, and they're also great for getting in to high places such as dusting the cabinets.

I have some backpacks in my collection-find them too awkward for home cleaning--too many "bump into tradgedies".Use my central vacs or my M1.I can put the central hose onto the NSS M1 hose and use that like a "central" vacuum.

I love my Sebo's

I find my two Sebo's or "Windsors" to be the most reliable and best cleaning commercial vacuums.

Commercial Vacs

I also like commercial vacuums. My first, a Clark 500, I still have. The design is sleek and powerful and inspires confidence that it will get the job done. Also, a Hoover Conquest? that has a ginormous beater bar, several versions of the Hoover 918, and most recently, a Ghilbi (sic?) Vortex Force which is a Tristar on steroids! That one I know nothing about but it seems very powerful. It could come in handy with the cleaning business. I would like to know more about this machine and there does not seem to be much, if any, on the internet. (that I can find at least)

I know I never seem to shut up about these damn things, but here's a commercial machine that lives in my bedroom. I've also got some big wet/dry machines. I also have some Hoover 913s my most favorite Hoovers of all!

I have two: a Hoover C1403 and a Sanitaire S661. The C1403 is the commercial version of the Hoover Elite 200 and the S661 is a Sanitaire that used to be offered in their blue "Professional" line. It's basically your standard 7 amp Sanitaire but with some higher end features, such as a rotating cord hook and a deluxe handle grip.

I have a Sanitaire S677 upright; a Windsor Sensor SR12 upright; a Nilfisk canister which I want to say is a GM80 (?), and a Tennant 3400 canister.  I previously had a Lindhaus-made Kent Duravac upright, but donated it to a local thrift store when they needed a machine to use in their store.

I currently work at a veterans homeless shelter and I brought in one of my numerous commercial machines for the staff to use in the office areas. Its a Minuteman MVP, one of three I got from a school sale. Its in pretty good shape and the people that do most of the cleaning really enjoy it. The last job I had they used a Castex Lite-Trac I had brought in. Ive got like three or four of those LOL!

Commercial Vacuums are fun and something I’ve recently enjoyed adding to my big collection.

I own:

Hoover Hushtone 13+ Commercial Vacuum (CH54113)
Hoover Commercial Backpack Vacuum (C2401)
Hoover PortaPower Lightweight (CH3000)
Hoover Commercial Professional Series (CH50020)

Sanitaire EON QuietClean Upright (SC550A)

Oreck XL Pro (Twin Tube) Commercial Upright (DS1700HY)

ProLux 8000 Upright

Carpet Pro High Performance Commercial Upright (CPU-350)

ProTeam ProGen 12 Upright (107329)

I may have more and might be forget a few as I haven’t listed my collection, separating Commercial and Residential Vacuums.. just Alphabetical by brand. With a collection closing in on 200 Vacuums it’s like Sophie’s Choice sometimes trying to give all my babies equal love and attention! Lol
