it was listed on craigslist about 4 months ago, i lost the phone # when i got the cash. then while going through some papers i found it and he still had it! i went to get it this mourning, i could not believe it, he had everything with it, even the big box it came in! kirby was all original too! the attachments look like the have never been taken out of the box, the rug renovator still has the original bottle of suds in it, not bad for $50!

I got the original bag too
I was lucky
had not known anything bout the model
had to do a lightning research while knowing at $25 it wasn't going to last long.
Still with shipping it was more than yours & came w just the hose & some strap. Looke like it had minimal use to me.

Was confused about the belt lifter later to find it was the paper label.

I spotted the one on I think Charles site
Had the same bag & the belt lifter so I said if he's happy with it then I guess it has to be worth $25

So I took a breath & did the BIN.

Then same day found the shampoo & guess buffer & a felt thin & another hose for $10 $25 with shipping

so now mine is complete enough to use...

Thanks for the polishing tips
I've decided I think mine has aquired a fine satin patina & will not bring it back to high gloss.
I will do only minimal shining/buffing.

Some times its nice to have them in original condition.

Guess there are 2 schools of thought
but I remember as a child liking things shiny
so I got a hold of some silver polish & took away 100 years worth of patina from some antique my father had...

Oppps

Mine is on the truck

So it will be here today!!!

OOOH the waiting is killing me!

I did notice the top hord hook was missing &
have to locate a replacement.

Any ideas?
Is it a part on all the older handle kirby's?

Hoping its OK & DHL was kind to it.

It's here!

I wauted for the DHL guy & got it safe in the house.
I had an appointment so I just opened it for a quick peak.
Took it out of the box it's apart
I notice a small spring in the box
short fat

Hey if you have that extra scrw & hook for the handle I'd be so happy
Don't think you would need a new handle least hope not...

I had to go out
Back now with the belt & Its Kirby Time!
