The stunning Sixties room has been given a new look and feel. Just like we did to the 1970's room last week. Some machines have been deleted, and some added.

I just love this ad for the Air Master Wet/Dry built in vac. Makes you wonder, if she's cleaning the floors in pumps, a cocktail dress, and opera gloves - what do you think she wears to clean the bathrooms? I guessing lingerie.

It couldn't be the 1960's without a Suzy HomeMaker as well as an Easy Bake oven. So much ter-kwazzz.

The Air-Way Sani-Magic "Priscilla" - a very rare and awesome machine. One of the best rug nozzles ever made - it was unique to this model (which was also known as The Dirt Digger).

I still hope to stop by within the next month. I got a Rexair model B today at an estate sale for $37.50! I'm back to having four functional Rainbows. (I have a fifth: a chocolate colored D2 which needs a total overhaul).

My aunt dressed

like Mrs. Kennedy when she drove her kids to the doctor in the families 1960 Dodge wagon, then cleaned her house with a Eureka Mobil Air Vibra-Beat and a Royal stair vac. She made us breakfast on her 36 inch Tappan 400 gas range.
No Eureka Mobilaire in the museum yet?

Nice!

My mom had the green one. A 1959 wedding gift. My aunts was blue, and newer. You know, it may have been a Monkey Wards, because she used to be a credit dept. manager in one. I think her next vacuum was a Wards by Eureka power team tan canned ham.

Just as the 70's room you have made the 60's room pop with all the best from that era .
Congratulations on a job well done .

I love it, but a suggestion

The Stromburg-Carlson telephone is not exactly period.

Might I suggest a Western Electric 500 in aqua. Also, since the Bell System was the default telco for most of the US, using a phone as used by independent telcos is not a representation of the '60s that was most common.

How stupid could I be, I accidentally chose the picture of a avocado WE 500 instead of aqua!

It's late and I'm tired. Again, sorry for the inconvenience.

Ah! the telephone!

Good eye Richard! A minor tweak, but no less important.
How's the Caddy doing?

I've got to get there and see!!! WOW!

Tom,

please tell me what year the purple Convertible first came out. (3rd to the right of the "stereo phonograph") My mother had one and I think it might have been a present from her wedding shower in 1960.

Yeah Baby!

And it's definitely turquois for the 60's, avocado for the 70's. I'm getting homesick. Guess I fire up the Electrolux G.

The 1960's display room looks wonderful! Awesome machines, well displayed, and the 60's furniture, stereo, and TV really enhance the look! Looking forward to the time when I'll be able to see it in person. Unfortunately, travel is still out of reach for me at this time.
