The FIRST model G Electrolux. Notice the cord for the PN is wound up in the salesmans hand. one continuous cord with snap on clips that ran from the PN to the machine and had to be removed when the hose was used for anything else. I gave Tom Gasko one of these PNs years ago. they are really rare now.

And that is

The second version. notice the cord now unplugs at the wand, but still uses the snap on clips, after this came the vinyl straps to attach the cord to the hose, then in 62 came the side outlet to plug the cord into instead of directly under the hose inlet, the new Electrolux cord instead of the old style Belden and the power nozzle with a circuit breaker and a clean out port, these are to me, some of the best vacuums ever built.

One thing I really, really like about the Model G is how quiet it is. When you're doing bare-floor cleaning all you hear is the rush of air into the floor nozzle. And when using the power nozzle, the PN motor completely covers the sound of the main motor.
