While cleaning my Electrolux PN-5 powerhead this part fell out. Is it an actual part from the powerhead or the missing earring from a lady professional wrestler?
Thanks for your input?

It holds the brush roll on. It goes on in the end.

You will see a hole where it fits in.

Later PN's simply used a screw instead of this.

PN 5 part

That is the axle retainer. The long part goes under axle on the motor side of PN and is held in place by the side of the elbow cover.Make sure the spring has tension to push axle down to carpet.
