Anybody have a picture of one they own? Ive seen pictures on Amazon and the old Hoover website but ive never seen a picture of one owned. Ive seen several owned red and blue ones (I have the blue) but never the green one. This and the picture on the old hoover website are really the only two photos Ive ever seen of it.

I own a red one.

Mine is the Hoover Widepath U5254-900. Mine is labeled as a Hoover Widepath. It has a 12 Amp motor.

There were older versions which had a non translucent bag door, were labeled as Soft Guard or Breathe Easy. Many of the old versions had 7.3 Amp motors.

I found a picture with some great grooming marks too!! I had just finished placing fresh Hoover marks everywhere and was starting to stage my Hoovers as John Long was supposed to get together when he was in town in May but unfortunately he got tied up.

Here is a tan Breathe Easy. This is one of the early series. It is a Breathe Easy with 7.3 Amp motor I believe. The model is U5248-930.

I refurbed and sold this machine in 2008, but still have photos of it! I absolutely love the agitator color on this!!! It is the first and only time I have ever seen that shade of blue on a Hoover brush roll. I never seen one since this vacuum or any other time. If I did find one, I would love to have it!!!

Here are some Hoover pamphlets I was able to find at an Ace Hardware some years ago. I think these match the model you own Eureka1998.

Also looking back to your post, the model you posted. I'm 90% sure that a vacuum shop in upstate New York has this exact same model. It needs some cleaning. It looks similar to the one that I debated over when I chose the Widepath version that I own above instead.

You can contact him to find out: C.S. Vacuums-- owner is Chris

Did they ever make a purple version of the translucent or older Breathe Easy models?

I don't recall a purple version of it!! In fact I don't recall many purple Hoovers at all. The Agnes Moorehead Convertible was purple on a white base with a purple bag. I think there may have been a light shaded purple bagged Windtunnel upright. I just don't believe purple was ever big with Hoover, neither was pink. A couple of machines came out in yellow such as the Foldaway Widepath and bagless 13" PowerMax Windtunnel unit, some Convertible, a Slimline canister and a yellow Celebrity canister.

There was a WalMart exclusive purple Hoover Fusion upright with some pink trim and a telescoping handle. It later was named the Agility, Mach 3 and also a PowerMax bagless version which appeared on HSN many times.
