This is before a good cleanup (which hopefully I will get to tomorrow). But it sounds and looks fairly good, just needs a belt. |

To spend that much money on something only to discard it!
Even though I'm not 'into that make", I think it's a sin to waste money like that. People have given me 'trash finds', only to find a sticker on it from a local vac shop. Must be great to have THAT much money. We work hard for our money................................ |

Yeah, the Filter Queen Majestic I picked up at Goodwill last week for $5 had a local dealer's sticker on the power nozzle. Even though the store put a 'throwaway' price on it, I'm glad the original owner/donor gave a charitable organization the opportunity to benefit from it instead of treating it as landfill fodder.

Panasonic made a few machines for Riccar before Riccar was bought by Tacony. I believe Panasonic made 3 models for Riccar but I know 2 for sure. The pic down on the far right is one of them but I can't find the other one online, One collector on Youtube had one but he deleted the video.

The Riccar you have was made more than 20 years ago, before Tacony brought production back to the USA. It was made in Taiwan, and was a 'copy' of the Panasonic design. The good news is, it uses the current Type A Riccar/Simplicity bags and the standard Simplicity/Riccar belts. The brush strips, in fact all the parts, are available for that unit. Tacony still has that same vacuum, in butter yellow, as a CarpetPro commercial upright.

Thanks for all the info. That explains why I thought I had a Jet Flo before I took a better look at it. LOL Motor does sound very quiet. I'm looking forward to using it as a daily driver for awhile. |

I've been shopping curbside for close to 20 yrs. Haven't bought a mower, trimmer, and have found things that make me just shake my head in wonder. People are strange, that much I've come to realize. LOL |
