I never noticed until someone recently pointed out to me that the classic Electrolux USA logo border is in the shape of its combo rug/floor tool and plastic floor brushes. I think the logo was introduced with the Turbo Rug Washer in 1962. Check it out ...

That's pretty cool! Never really thought about it before... I wonder if that was intentional? Did you ever notice that the 1205, Golden/Super J, Olympia One, and Silverado have a stretched version of the shape on the end of the machine, stamped into the metal cord winder? (It disappeared with the Diamond Jubilee when the back panel became plastic)

I really, really wish Aerus could somehow get the rights back to using the name again.

Random factoid: the plastic wand "gas pump" handle that originally debuted with the Epic 6500 and Renaissance machines had a stamped "Electrolux" logo on the handle; today's black Lux Legacy, which continues to use those same plastic wands, still has the clear shape of the old Electrolux symbol on the handle, but the letters are removed. Kind of neat :)

DJub85, that is the very first memory I have of Electrolux vacuums! I'll never forget seeing that logo on my great grandmother's Silverado... It's probably the classiest logo I've ever seen. I own a Lux Ultra and I noticed they have an imprint of the logo on the combo dusting brush, but it's very faint.
