Hello again everyone:

First of all, thanks again to everyone for their help and suggestions regarding the shaft extension issue. I have the vacuum back together temporarily with makeshift screws that I was able to find at the hardware store. Unfortunately, I had to "Mickey Mouse" them with washers due to the fact that the original screws are a 'Thread-forming' type, that are designed to form their own threads during factory assembly. That said, I need to correct proprietary screws to properly finish the job.

Any suggestions on who'd be the best source to locate the following screws. I perused the parts schematics that Ben suggested, coming up with the part# below, except for the (4) 10-32x3/4 Phillips/Fillister head screws that join the two blower housing halves together, that aren't illustrated or listed:

Royal Model# 89103 Anniversary Edition Metal Upright Vacuum Screws (Zinc)

(Qty.4) 10-32 x 3/4" NP/N Fan Case Joining Screws (Phillips Fillister Head)

(Qty.4) 10-24 x 3/8" P/N: 1980743000 Motor To Fan Case Screw (Phillips Pan Head)

(Qty.3) 10-24 x 3/4" P/N: 1023309000 Nozzle To Fan Case Screw (Phillips Flat Head Thread Forming)

(Qty.3) 8-32 x 3/8" P/N: 1670013000 Motor Plate Screws (Phillips Pan Head)

As before, your input would be very much welcome and appreciated.

Thank you,
Mike

Got 'em . . .

Thanks to (I'll keep your name anonymous) that emailed me. I called Vac Parts + (Henry Co.) and they had everything! They couldn't have been any nicer to do business with. I read him the P/Ns, and he pulled the parts while I waited to verify they had 'em. If I attempted this here in Calif. I'd have gotten an "Attitude"! It was really nice to deal with a real professional.
