Hello! I bought this OK Dc14 Animal for $19 at a garage sale and it cleaned up and works fine, but the cyclone top, which I was able to remove, has a few cracks. Does annyone know where I can get a replacement? Thanks.

hi there if you take the filter out of the top there is some screws

if you take them out it's very simple from there

put I would suggest a new cyclone as you cant just buy one for it

hope this helps

Actually you can buy one for it. Manchestervacs will ship to the USA and provide excellent service and proper genuine Dyson parts in perfect working order. Take a look at their Dyson forum- it's really good!

Un clip the cyclone top and take the filter out (machine wash it if you like) and there are 7 screws underneath the filter. They are a torx T15 type.
The top part removed and everything on the cyclone un clips, from the very top of where the filter sits all the way to the bottom bin flap gasket. Everything can be removed by hand after removing the 7 screws. On a Dyson, anything can be replaced. There is nothing on a Dyson that cannot be replaced.

Best wishes

Yes, we have those. Colour may vary but we *probably* have that colour. It will cost you more than you paid for the machine though.

I woulds fit a new clutch( or clutch belts ) and brush bar to it to get maximum performance.
The small hose that goes to the cleaner head should also be replaced at this stage, its spring loaded and keeps the cleaner head at the right angle to the carpet. By this stage they loose their spring, If your on a budget just rotate it but I prefer fitting a new one.

Apparently my computer didnt like me!
Try Dyson! They should offer a wide range of parts. Or, you can send a check to the vacuum shop I work at and I can see if we have a spare top
