Hi folks! I was wondering if anyone with Ads for True Electrolux Vacuums (model 30-Epic 6500) could post some ads for EVERY model from the model 30 to the Epic 6500?
Im also looking for Pictures of each model. This if for my computer ScreenSaver.
I would love to get ads for the canisters and uprights. Im hoping to print some for my Shop
Thanks!
Andy Rousonelos

Electrolux ads

There are relatively few compared to many companies.Elux had no print ads until the 50s as they considered the in home demo the best advertising. Then 1 & 2 page ads in magazines such as McCalls. In the 60s ads were mostly a once a year ad in Good Housekeeping.Later there were TV ads for Olympia & Discovery.

The first ad Electrolux ever published was for the model LX "The Cleaner You Never Have To Empty". There were three different ones. The Automatic E had two published ads, the non-automatic E had three different ads "new cleaner/new baby - same weight" was my favorite. The Automatic F had two different published ads.
I only remember one for the model G, and none for the L or 1205. Golden J and Super J had one published ad each. Olympia and Silverado had one ad each. Discovery II had a TV ad but no published ad that I'm aware of.

ads,cont.

One of the AF ads was 1 1/2 pages in Good Housekeeping. There was an early ad for 1205 in Readers Digest showing the 'Friendly Electrolux Man' with his blue jacket with the 'E' patch and the 1205.As above none I know of for L or other standard models.

I don't really have many printed ad's for the Aerus/Electrolux vacuums (with the exception of the one's uploaded here) but I did find some interesting ads on Youtube! Right off the bat, I found one for the Olympia One and the Silverado (see links), and I'm sure if you dig a little deeper, you may find more!

Here is a small pic of a Model 1451 or Model 1451E ad. Just thought you'd want to know it exists, so you can look for a larger version if you're interested. I wonder if it's Canadian, because of the word mark (the US-version usually had the bowed rectangle border).

The second olympia one tv ad...

...was filmed on the set of the Dukes of Hazzard. Warner Bros. had made a full town out in the California desert.

A picture from the Dukes
