I did a video of the Hoover Elite ll testing the agitation on fine grit particles, in the case of the video caster sugar or cake sugar. I just couldn't believe how crazy the agitation was, did not expect that, never tested it on agitation before, of course you really see it on low pile carpet like this video, it wouldn't be as noticeable on thicker pile carpet but would be doing the same thing underneath. I can see these performed just as well as our Turbopowers.
Here is the video anyway...

Here is a video of the Hoover Turbopower agitation that I made a few years ago (apologies the quality is not as good as the one on the Elite), I think you'll agree, both VERY effective cleaners, they don't get their names out of the blue, that's for sure!

Also notice, very interesting, the motor on both cleaners sound almost identical!

Hoover Elite ll U4617 5amps

Hoover Turbopower U2194 410w

Very different design machines too, well, in a fashion.

That is an awesome video!! Really glad someone was able to catch on video how good these machines really perform.

My PowerMax power nozzle did that on my car mats!! I had no idea there was so much sand on them until I used that on them a couple months ago!

I had the wire redone on this power nozzle from a T head to flat 2 prong so that I could use a PowerMax nozzle on Celebrity and Dimension canisters. My other 2 PowerMax nozzles are t shaped plugs and can only run on Hoover gas pump handles that accept 3 prongs.

Floor mats are from my Subaru Forester.

That photo only showed the rear seat mats. I found another photo that shows all 4 of them.

The same day that those mats received the Hoover Celebrity treatment, they also received Hoover Steamvac treatment!!

Durango was a dream car of mine when I was 15 years old. I've used that name as a posting name for various things over the years since that time. Actually since I was 15 to be exact that's where the 15 comes in from Durango159. The 9 was because it was in 90's that I turned 15 and I like the number 9.

Unfortunately I have never owned or even driven a Dodge Durango but I'm sure some day it will happen!! The body style of the original series that came out in 1997 I believe, was my favorite!

The coat rack/ wooden shelf that is sitting on the sofa in that photo is also now properly mounted on a wall. I made that shelf in shop class in high school.

What a dramatic demonstration.  Can't imagine how life would be without such items.

I too, am a Hoover fan, but more of a canister person.  Here are some of my pns.  I think some of my favs are the Hoover wide-path models.

The one in this picture, someone simply gave to me when I bought something else from her.  It wasn't working, as it was clogged with pet hair.  I cleaned it out, washed most everything, put it back together and WOW, does it clean.  It pulls it's self forward.

The grey one in the middle is from my Rose colored Futura  3656 (?) if I remember right.  I also have a marroon Futura like the one Rob is holding in his Avatar.

The beige with orange trim is not dedicated at this point.  I believe it came from a bol 80s Celebrity.

The green pn, with no headlight, is part of a Hoover Encore (Spirit)

I also have a slate green Quadraflex, along with the vac, which is a 1980's JCPenny Spirit.  The first Quad I ever had was from a new 1986 TOL Dimension 1000 in gray.  I was very impressed.

This pic is only about 1/2 the Hoover pns I have right now, but I like all of them.  I would expect they do as good a job as the Hoover Elite upright.

Hoover Elite & Turbopower

I love those Hoover Elites and Turbopowers! Man that's amazing agitation!
What is the voltage in the UK? In here it's 220v. Just wondering if I find something from the ebay.

Rob, Durango, spin scrub,

There are two first generation Durango's in my subdivision owned by young guys that are in very nice shape.
Aftermarket wheels, but really sharp! They drive Chargers daily, so don't see much wear and tear. Lucky Chrysler designers.
Nice Spin Scrub there man! Have you ever had to clean out the screen where the air is drawn in to power the brushes?
Another testament that all that is older is better.

DelaneyMeegan, you have fantastic taste in canister vacuums!! Love it!! I love Hoover canister vacuums. Brush rolls are my favorite part of a vacuum cleaner so I only own brush roll equipped vacuums. That said I own 7 Hoover power teams. I have never tried an Encore Supreme model. I love the color of the green on that model though. There was a more common red colored Hoover Encore Supreme canister with black colored power nozzle. Yours looks better though!

Vacerator, that is very cool hear about the Durangos in your development. They are nice vehicles. Shame they are not more fuel efficient though.

As far as the Spin Scrub. I make it a habit to check the screen on my machine with every single usage. Usually before or after I start every cleaning session with it. There is always very little if any on it but it's good to make sure it stays clear! A dirty screen will definitely inhibit air flow to the turbine for the brushes. My machine being the Widepath version the screen is located underneath the machine behind the Spin Scrub brushes.

I also periodically clean the Spin Scrub brushes. The assembly can be taken apart to remove any carpet fiber or debris that gets caught up in their. I also take a fine comb and go through the tufts of the Spin Scrub brushes because over time they tend to trap a lot of carpet fiber. I think Hoover would benefit from a tighter packed slightly rougher textured bristle. Sometimes I think they are too soft.
