I saw a Eureka Precision bagged upright, looks like maybe mid 90's, could be older than that. Had a red bag and was 10 amps, it was priced at $10. I was just wondering is this a good deal or not? I can't find any on ebay to really compare prices.

Yes!

I have one, it is a great vacuum. $10 is a great price, I think I paid close to $60 for the one I bought on EBay.

Thanks for the information! I have never really called myself a Eureka person, but for $10 I may go pick it up once my paycheck is in later this week, if it is still there.

Eureka Precisions were on the market in the mid-1980's......same time as the Eureka Express canister.

They had similar motors as the Sanitaire commercial uprights of the day and so sounded like them.

The word 'eureka' is Greek for 'I have found it'. So exclaim "Eureka!" when you slap down a Hamilton to claim your prize.
