After many, many months of trying, I finally came home with the Hoover Model 634 I have been coveting for quite a while. It was a trade in from long ago at an old vac shop about an hour away from me. It was filthy, so I cleaned it up, polished it, and laundered the bag. I think it cleaned up very nicely. The cord was replaced, but I have an original cord coming to me from a very generous friend. I'm so excited to finally have this in my collection (where it should be!) |

That's a gorgeous machine, congratulations! I found some pictures of mine - I've had it for at least 10 years now; someone brought it in to the store where I used to work and no longer wanted it, tools and all. I about wet my pants. |

Great machine there. I'm very glad you got one. One must add that model to one's collection. I finally got one as well, completing the "Fabulous Fifties" segment. They are great machines. It's true; HOOVER made them for a short time, and were also used to lure you into to but a more expensive model. Phyllis, from billing, sure knew what she was talking about, didn't she?
KUDOS to you. John |
