I was wondering if there's a way to replace the cord on my Hoover Model 700. (Its not an original cord and plug)
The cord itself is in okay shape, but a little short for my home. Not to mention it was simply spliced into the top where the cord protrudes from the handle.
I understand it can be unplugged from the motor towards the bottom but I'm wondering if there's a way to change the cord inside and out of the handle. I'll most likely have my local vacuum shop do it.
However I'd like to know if I can replace it myself.

Any info would be great. Thanks!

Try contacting member Charles Richard Lester. He may offer some advice.
