Hi everyone. I stopped at a thrift store this afternoon. I actually went to look for vintage glass which is another thing I collect. I hit the appliance section to look for anything cool and retro. I found a purple Hoover upright. I don't usually buy retro vacuums because I don't have the space for anything that big but this was just too cool. Needless to say I've never seen a purple vacuum! I love appliances in off the wall colors. It works fine. The bag was not very full but I put a new one in anyway because the thought of someone else's dirt is kind of nasty. The vacuum is clean and only has a couple of scratches. I only paid $5 for it . Since this one is purple I'm guessing they made other colors? What other colors did they come in?

Could you post a photo of it, model #, etc.? I'm thinking it may be a Hoover Convertible Model 33, but that's just a wild guess without seeing it, or getting the number from it. Thanks!

I believe that the only purple vac, "lavander"

is known as the "Agnes Moorehead" vac.  Long story there.

What OTHER colors did they make?
