About 18 months ago I bought a nice Electrolux 1205 that I have decided to start using.

It only came with the bag that was in it, and after a few sweeps with the head, my house began to smell like somebody else's rugs, pets, and smoking habits. Ugh.

I went down to WalMart and got a set of Electrolux "C" bags by Arm & Hammer.

Does anybody have any suggestions on what brand I should make my regular bags for this machine?

Thanks

They are made by many! Look for 4 ply if you don't want the pricier hepa style synthetic cloth Perfect.

The type C bags from Arm and Hammer at WalMart are just fine. They'll work great. Set the automatic control on "Medium Dirt" and change bags when the machine pops open.

I dont like those WalMart Electrolux bags. The Baking soda in them kills the motor bearings. i use genuine Electrolux (New Old Stock) or generic bags

I found the arm and hammer to be more leaky than others I tried.

I use only Perfect HEPA bags or DVC Ultra Allergen cloth bags

I use generic "Multi-Filter" 4-ply bags in my 1205 and my Super-J. They work great in both and cost about 60 cents each bought in bulk quantities on eBay.
