So what's the story behind the Bank Vault vacuums?

"The Bank Vault is designed to give you the same cleaning performance and superior filtration as other leading German brands costing $1000 or more. It comes complete with several floor tools and accessories to handle all of your cleaning needs including carpets, smooth floors, upholstery, steps and all the tough to reach areas in your home or office. There is no need to own another vacuum if you own the Bank Vault."

The Original Bank Vacuum, as well as the Bank Vault vacuum, are the same vacuums that Tacony makes. The "Original Bank Vault" is a discontinued model, called the Simplicity S24 - but with a Wessel-Werks built "petite power nozzle" which mimics the S217 Power Nozzle from Miele.

The Bank Vault is the same vacuum as the Riccar Pristine, Charisma, and Starbright (as well as the Simplicity Verve, Jesse, and Cinch) but with the petite Wessel-Werks power nozzle.

Avoid this company! Spoke with the owner of the company, Greg Bank, a couple of months ago, as I was interested in one of their stick vacs. The guy was your typical sleazy, fast-talking con artist/sheister you find running & owning most vac shops. Was absolutely desperate to sell, & would do just about ANYTHING I think to get the sale! Definitely left a bad impression, & wouldn't buy anything he sells now!

It also doesn't hurt that the Riccar/Simplicity Compact Powernozzle is superior to the Wessell petite powernozzle included with the Bank Vault, & it also has a headlight. The brushes on the Riccar/Simplicity powerhead are more aggressive & stiff, whereas the Wessell powernozzle brushes are soft & wimpy in comparison. You could actually use the Riccar/Simplicity powernozzle if you had low-pile carpets & feel satisfied it cleans well, can't say that about the Wessell or Miele petite powernozzles!

Also, why would you buy a brand that isn't going to service the product after the sale if you're gonna spend over $500 & buy a quality vac? If you don't care about after-sales service, you might as well just go to Walmart & buy disposable garbage & throw it out every 2 or 3 years. Better to buy a Riccar or Simplicity, get a quality product & develop a good relationship with a dealer who you trust, & who will take care of your needs down the road.
