Do we have a facebook group? I would imagine it would be a great addition. I am new here. I am also looking for a nice Lux model L and a Hoover upright, I think from the late 40's-mid 60's. I have to find a picture of it. Had one a while back, hard as hell to push on carpet, but was a stunner.

There is no official group, but there are currently 90 of us in this group I created for collectors of antique and vintage vacuum cleaners. It's the only group I'm aware of devoted purely to vintage vacuums. You are more than welcome to join!

My favorite 'open' facebook group is Vac U Friends. Many folks on this forum are also in that group.

Thanks Tom, I didn't know about that one. Looks like it's also a closed group (which is a good thing in my opinion. From the description, that group is catered to vacuum cleaners in general whereas our group is focused only on vintage pre-1985 machines. It's nice to have variety!
