I was vacing with the Rainbow SE & suddenly water was coming out of the exhaust & going thru the motor. What could be the problem? The separator looks OK; I change the water after vacing one room before vacing the next room & never store the Rainbow with water on basin & unit on top of basin

Also when I use the Rainbow SE it blows the main circuit breaker, turning off all lites

Sounds like there is an issue with the air deflector, it is located under the spider and when it is missing water will go through the fans and out of the exhaust. The motor is sealed from the fan assembly so I doubt the motor got wet. As far as tripping breakers there is a different issue that needs to be addressed. Has the machine ever been serviced?

Check the gasket too.
