Does anybody know if Riccar's canister line is due in for an update anytime soon?
(Not including Prima)

updates to canisters

I think the Prima is designed to replace some of the other canister models, and it's a great canister for sure. I would have no problems recommending that one. The designers looked at lots of other previous models from many different manufacturers and tried to come up with the best of all of those worlds, and I would say they have succeeded.

Good point..

Never thought of it that way..Would you say that the Prima is phasing out the full sized canister line? That one isn't a bad choice though.

prima phasing out other canisters

I'm not sure if the other canisters are getting phased out, but the advantage of the prima is that it's customizable. You can choose a straight suction model, or a model with an electric hose. I would get the electric hose model since this would allow you to get a power nozzle later if you don't need one now. You can also choose three different power nozzles. Although the Prima may be smaller than some other full sized canisters, you sacrifice nothing when it comes to features. It's quiet, powerful, and the size of the bag is quite large.

I agree, the Prima seems small but mighty, thanks for the info
