In all our conversations I've neglected to welcome you to Vacuumland, so I'm doing that here and now.
Yes I've seen this coffee table before before, and can't help thinking "what if it tips over?" I shudder to think what would happen if a cup of coffee or a soda was resting on the glass! While your Electrolux doesn't have one, the cord winder let's you stand it on end, but it's not conducive for holding things. You are new here, but trust me, there are all sorts of things our members create from the shell of a vacuum cleaner. And we used to have a member, still may, though I havent seen him in years, who makes robotic art from tank vacuums. |

The Electrolux standing steady is not outfitted with a cord winder, that's what's called a 'halo,' a device used to wind the cord by hand. The other one is tipping to one side, and certainly not able to hold anything.
Both of these are later versions of the LX, about 1953 after Electrolux did away with the red lettering on a yellow background, and added the dial to control the ejection process. Still as vacuum cleaner art, I really like the tables. |

I would rather have the unaltered item, too. The Lux is a better vacuum cleaner than table support. |

I saw this on my local Craigslist today. It looks rather well done, actually.

I rather like this but whether or not the loading wall can take the weight of it as a wall light is questionable...

I've seen those electroluxes left on the curb for big junk pick up, on a rainy day. You come back the next day and it's already started to rust on the edges. They weren't designed to get wet. Yes they could be sprayed with a sealer, but there are several voids where water could get in and get the mail wet. |
