Hey everyone, so, I made it to a sears store here and picked up some Kenmore Q bags for my Panasonic mc-cg902. I think these bags are actually a bit larger than the paper bag that came with it, I had to fold the bag a bit to get it to fit in the bag compartment. I did not purchase the cf-1 or ef-2 filters at this point, the filters that were included with the vacuum seem to work fine. I didn't have a lot of time, but I noticed a couple of the Kenmore canisters, I think they were more round shaped as opposed to square or rectangle. I may go back and take another look at them when I have more time, although I remember reading on here that the hose end on the current models is nonstandard. I didn't do a direct comparison, but it does seem like with the Kenmore bags, the vacuum is a bit more powerful.
Now, this leads to an interesting thought. This would not apply to vacuums such as the Aerus Classic, but, the Miele, Sebo, Riccar prima and this panasonic all use bags where the collar slides in to the holder, and then you press it down to secure it. I have not compared the bags side by side, but, would any of these bags for one brand of vacuum work with another? For example, would a Miele bag fit a Sebo vacuum, or a sebo bag fit the Riccar Prima for example? I know with central vacuums, there are only a few different bags, the main differences are the size of the bag and whether the hole is at the top of the bag or towards the middle. Has anyone ever gotten a bag designed for one brand of vacuum to work on another brand? Just some curious thoughts.

Panasonic MAKES Kenmore, same models and everything, so it only makes sense their bags are interchangeable! tongue-out

Sebo and Riccar and the like are all different companies, with different ideas and designs.
