I've got a Kirby Classic III bag that I need to launder in the near future, but I remember removing/replacing the bag to be quite the hassle last time I had to. The elastic is quite tough and doesn't stretch easily. Good for sealing in dirt, but not good for my arms! Is this normal? Am I missing out on some obvious tip to putting the bag back on? The thing tried to discloate my right shoulder last time and I'm not a weakling! I think I put it on crooked last time due to a slight increase in dust leakage, but I've not even bothered to try adjusting it since I got it due to the fact it's so difficult to put on! Thanks for reading and thanks for helping me with all my stupid questions, guys. :)

The springs at the bottom of Kirby bags are quite strong. There's really no easy way to change them. I usually get on the floor, hold the emtor between my knees, and hook the bag over the back of the opening and stretch it forward with my thumbs and then pop it over the lip. It's still quite difficult but with practice becomes a little easier.

Sounds like I'll just have to eat more spinach and channel Popeye then! LOL

In a way I'm kind of glad that I'm doing it right and there isn't a trade secret to pop these things on/off with ease. I feel a little less stupid. Thanks, CoffeeCanMan! You have a wonderful collection by the way. I've seen your YouTube a few times and been quite envious of the cute little coffee can machines. I've never seen one in person, but they have the oddest air of charm about them in the photos and videos I've seen.
