Hey everyone, well I bought another one for the collection, the Panasonic Mc-cg902, I will hopefully get it some time next week and will post a review once I have a chance to take it for a spin. Got it for a good price, on evacuumstore.com where I recently got my Perfect vacuum, the price was $319, I bought it from the Panasonic web site directly and it was $189
I'm assuming this is because you are buying factory direct and so there is no dealer cost. This is one area where I think Tacony should change how they handle orders through their web site. When buying from the riccar web site, you pay the full retail price for the product, and the order is processed through a dealer. Instead, they should process the order directly and sell it at the factory direct price, or at least at the price you would pay when buying from a store or dealer, but not the retail price. When buying from companies such as Miele or Sebo, the on line price is generally the same as what you pay in a store. Don't get me wrong, the Riccar prima is one of the best canister vacuums available, but they really need to change how orders are handled through their web site. I actually contacted Perfect Products to see what their direct price was and was told that they don't sell the product directly, and I should use a dealer. Personally I think it's a mistake not to sell direct to consumers, but it's a decision each company has to make I guess

Tacony is just trying to protect their dealers.

Best of luck with the MCCG902. They should be a nice cleaner. My only recommendation is to get a generic bare floor brush to substitute. I prefer longer and more bristles than the standard Kenmore style floor brush.

Is it a case though that Miele dealers on the "street" are offering same deals online? I don't think so given the amount of advice threads we've seen on this forum in the past, especially with U.S buyers in mind. Same with SEBO = offline dealers are offering free bags or an extra cleaning tool.

Whilst some online deals are better dependent on brand and model, buyers are still falling for incentives or extended warranties. Not always offered online either, if the past threads are anything to by on here.

hard floor nozzle

 I've already got a much better floor nozzle, the Wessel Werk rd 285 is the best hard floor nozzle you can get I think, it actually cleans without any brushes, so you don't have to worry about cleaning the brush afterwords.
