Does anyone have a picture of the new Aerus UltraLux? I peaked through the window of the Lux dealer the other night but I didnt see one on display. Also, its not listed on their web site and I could not find it anywhere else online. Im dying to see what it looks like and I'm wondering when the dealer by me is going to have one on display. I love Electrolux and I hope that this new machine is an improvement over the previous 6500 and 9000.
Thanks!
Steven

Ultralux Special Offer

The Ultralux featured in the "special offer" is for an upright. It's not even a upright that's offered by the dealers, makes me wonder if it is made by Aerus. I've seen a similar model on one of the shopping networks, and I think they went for 349.95. The Ultralux canister is offered by the dealers and has awesome suction. I went in to the local dealer and fellow club member Derreck showed it to me and I was impressed with the suction and pull from the power nozzle, very nice machine. It uses the older style wand with the sheath, so it shouldn't have the issues that the plastic wand machines have with shorts in the wands. Nice basic machine!

UltraLuxDereck

My good friend Derreck came to my home on Saturday evening, and we went through just a small portion of the vacuum room. Derreck brought his digital camera, and we also took pictures of my UltraLux that he gave to me.

I LOVE this machine, not only because it came from Derreck, but because it's a FANTASTIC Electrolux. It's more powerful than any other model in my collection, due to the VM3 Electrolux motor with 100 inches of lift. The suction is amazing, and when I use my other Lux power nozzle's with it, they really pull and clean wonderfully.

The sound of the VM3 motor is different, and the motor is also lighter weight, meaning the machine is light and easy to handle. The matching steel wands and flip over rug/floor tool add to the usefullness of the machine. The knotches cut into the floor brush are brilliant, sucking up all the little crumbs from the bare floor. What a delightful machine, one of my all time favorites. I keep it in the box, and use it just on special occasions. The new Constellation does the daily 'grunt work' in my home.

The pictures of my UltraLux will follow this post.

Here are the long awaited pictures of the Electrolux 80th Anniversary Canister that has been mentioned in a couple of threads here on vacuumland. These pictures are of the Tom Gasko's machine and were taken at his house on Saturday evening. In one of the pictures you can even see the beautiful Airway 77 I was soo lucky to get from Tom. I am also posting pictures of me with my Hoover Celebrity QS and a picture of me vacuuming with Tom's Viking upright. Enjoy the pics!

We had the Viking upright!!

Except over here it was an Electrolux 506/ 560!- Being a Hoover person mostly I only have one cleaner from the 500 series -a early 80s 550. The basic design ran for about 23 years over here from 1971 and was easily the best upright made over here that dosent have a Hoover badge on it!- will dig up some pics asap :)

Current Model Line

bimmer740's profile picture
Derreck, do the Lux Guardian and Legacy share the same motor as the Uprights? I noticed on the Aerus web site that almost all the machines have the same "airwatt" rating of 395. Do you know if Aerus plans to make their machines more powerful or change the model line up anytime soon? Also I was just wondering, if all the machines have the same performance, then what do you use to as a feature to sell the guardian to someone, since its so much more costly than the lux classic?

Hi Tom

Is the Viking a US or Canadian model, whats the voltage etc???

One of the most popular combination clean air machines made, much easier to push than the DAM...the tools where the same size as the Electrolux cylinder vacs of their day...

Those Viking/Electrolux uprights are too cool! I can't really tell from the pictures, but are these direct-air or clean-air machines?

Clean air machines, not bad suction, and a lot quieter that the UK Convertable (DAM) ...

Electrolux

Are those two-motor vacs? How is the brushroll? I had a European Electrolux (branded as Viking) canister a few years ago with a Eureka p/n that I really liked--unfortunately, bags were hard to find and the hose eventually broke. I would love to find one of those E-lux/Viking uprights here, but my chances are pretty slim--this is the first time I've ever seen one.

This model has hardly been used and has a low production run of 422...this one even has the original spare belt...

Wow, thanks for the pictures and info, Mike! That is a VERY clean machine. If I ever make it back to the UK, I'll be on the lookout for one of those. Some of that European Electrolux stuff is so cool!
