TTI has done it again! Another China built canister, that bombed with the Hoover name, has been rebadged with the Oreck name and for another couple of hundred dollars. It's a good thing that most of the Oreck stores carry Miele canisters, and if they had experience with the Quest Pro, they won't even put one of these on their showroom floor. The Quest Pros were pretty to look at, but rarely made it out of warranty without needing repairs, oh well. Another shocker today when I went in to buy Oreck Dutchtech bags, they used to say made in Germany, now say made in China. It will be interesting to see if there's any difference in quality. The Dutchtech was a great canister made by Phillips with the Oreck name, in Holland maybe? Mine has a Wessel-Werk power nozzle with the flourescent headlight and is several years old, and not a nick of trouble. Oh how the times are changing, unfortunately some not for the better.

I was dissappointed when i saw this vacuum recently. The pictures do not tell the story of flimsiness that the machine evinces in person. That said i did not use it and it does look better than so many others, it's just not the through and through premium product one would hope.

I got to see one of these before they were released. I am not a fan of the unit. The quality is just not there for a unit with this price tag. It feels cheap and very flimsy. The hose in particular feels like it will just rip apart at any second. The biggest issue that I have is there is no height adjustment on the power nozzle. Most people looking to drop this kind of money on a vacuum in this price range usually has the more expensive frieze or real plush Smart Strand carpet. You really need something with height adjustments to clean this type of carpet.
