From the Arabic writing, I would say this was probably designed for American military forces in the Middle East (maybe Qatar) where families of servicemen may be temporarily housed. This way, the vac can be used when the family moves back to the States. It could even be for a diplomatic family in the same situation. The Middle East runs on 220v like Europe.
Just my guess.... |

On the other hand, Japan runs on 120v like North America, so maybe this was a Japanese-made vac for Arab diplomats temporarily living in Japan. They could then return to the Middle East with the cleaner and continue using it.
But....the fact that it ended up in North America makes it more likely that it was owned by someone who lived both in the Middle East and the USA. |
