Hi guys,
I was out of town at a reenactors event. On the way out of town I thought I would normally not come here looking for vacuums....saw a mini-antique mall and decided. Made a u-turn and pulled in to the parking lot.
In the corner was the vacuum, with hose, wands and floor brush. Tried it out only to notice it did not glide. After I got the price reduced, I was off home with my prize.
I stopped at a friends and checked it out further: bag practically empty, "fabric" covering the motor, looked dusty, foam donut inside was dusty and looked dry rotted and finally, the floor brush had a crushed front lip.
I am home late so I will check it out in the morning.
It is an Eight Six.
Can someone tell me about these? Would it be hard to find parts/attachments? I have a lot of bags already (hoping to find one of these).
Will take pictures Sunday.

So it seems the wands, hose end and floor brush does not go with this machine. Looks to me these came with aluminum snap wands..etc. I found the correct hose end, floor brush and dusting brush (harvested from a slimline Hoover which was very damaged when given to me). BTW, I still have the motor if anyone is interested.
But it is very late for me and I will revisit this in the morning.
I am trying to figure out what to replace the rubber donut with. I will hit the hardware store to look for something, not made for this, that will work.
