Ok so i have told one person at my schoool that i fix and collect vacuum cleaners. I told my science teacher mrs sie. She told me that her mother just passed away but she can rember she always had 9 or 10 kirbys at her house. I told her that kirby is one of my favorite brands and if she was going to sell or get rid of them that I would take them. She told me that she is going to see if there still there and bring them in. SO me being all secret tellin nobody about my vacuum collection i go in one morning and she says "Evan your gift is out in the car after first period you can get it during homeroom study time." I could hardly wait for the end of first period. Me and her walk out to the car and I look in and see a KIRBY CLASSIC OMEGA. She said wait theres more she pops open the trunk inside I see BISSEL RUG SHAMPOOER MASTER. Yes she gave me a Bissel Rug Shampooer master. But it gets even better. In the back i see a old box it looked to be in good shape. I asked her about it she said "Oh do you want that? its the box for the bissel. I literally passed out. Now I have a kirby classic omega and a bissel rug shampooer master. Were the bissels rare. I had never seen one on ebay. If you want pix i will get them soon. I need to finish the kirby.

Yes, I'd said it before -- there is no good reason for us to keep our hobby "in the cleaning closet." I stopped making this a secret yeeeeears ago, and I can't tell you how many times people, now knowing I collect old vacuums, have contacted me when finding or seeing machines that are available somewhere, often at little or no cost. You just have to develop a thick skin against the small-minded, unimaginative people who will tease or give you a hard time about it.

Congratulations..
I tell everyone I want their old vacuums. I got my G4 complete and free from a co-worker of my sister who happened to mention it one day at work. They were talking about vacuums or something I guess and this woman had the G4 sitting in her shed, hated it and was glad to see it gone.
