Hi Guys,
I was wondering if anyone on here would know where I could buy a replacement handle for a Hoover Constellation 867a. I have purchased the Hoover from Ebay and the Couriers have manged to damage the handle.

Kindest regards
David

THe new ones aren't the same. I had a broken handle once and had to get one from a cadaver vacuum.

I hate when that happens...

It's odd how large, heavy appliances can be so vulnerable during shipping. I have twice purchased Sunbeam Mixmaster mixers on eBay and received them in transit-damaged condition. The first time, the seller left the mixer attached to the stand when he packed it. The stand itself got broken where it attaches to the mixer and the turntable suffered minor damage along its edges. When I notified the seller, he promptly refunded my money and told me to dispose of the remains of the mixer. I thanked him and spent most of the refund on another stand, albeit a white one, not a chrome one, and glued the turntable back together.

The second time around, I instructed the seller to disassemble it before packing and told him why. He thanked me for the information and packed it accordingly, but the turntable still got smashed. That time, I had paid so little for the mixer and I had another turntable I could stick on it, so I just let it ride.

Your easiest way is to buy a whole other machine for it!

It's always the unobtanium parts that cop it in postage. My Turbopower Junior U1100 Scheme A has smashed wheels. "Please could you pay extra care with the rear wheels and layer up the packaging?" He must have forgotten... (hellp partial refund...) I've glued them back together as well as they ever could be, so it has a slight limp when pushed now. Of course, dark brown wheels are never gonna happen short of breaking another U1100, and that would be stupider still just for the wheels!
