I was browsing the Sears website in the USA, & noticed this neat upright. Looks like Kenmore is trying to compete with Bissell, Shark & Hoover for the 2 in 1 upright & canister market. But here's what I found interesting....the dirt cup looks like the Kenmore 600 series bagless canister, yet the wand & hose look like Shark & the 2 in 1 crevice/dusting brush looks like Hoover. What gives?! Did Panasonic team up with Kingclean for this latest Kenmore creation??

Either way, I hope we get this in Canada. If it does, it will have to come home with me for sure! :-)

That's interesting, haven't seen it yet. The picture with the Pet Handimate is interesting. Seems to be a suction control valve on the hose end. I wonder where the Pet Handimate stores? And what is that odd attachment they are cleaning the wood floor with.

I will check this out next time I go to Sears. It's definitely something new for the Kenmore line. I guess it's a little like the Progressive Glide but also like the Shark as you mention.

The link said it was "in stock" for my area, and that I would have it by August 10 with free shipping. I took the plunge and ordered it. Looks very nice, and I'll use it in our new house (closing on August 13th).

I'm noticing more and more of the "not available" in your area message. I would look at W\D but they "would not be available in my area". It not a matter of shipping. I wonder if Sears is cleaning out stock and trying to save shipping cost.

Thank you. I'm very excited. It's really the home of our dreams. In a fantastic neighborhood, all the homes were designed by the same architect. Love the cohesive look to the whole neighborhood. And I love the sturdy look and feel of brick for a home. Our new home is located in Rolla, MO, which was voted one of the best small towns in Missouri. The Missouri University of Science and Technology is located in Rolla - Tacony Corporation hires our engineers from that college.
