i have a 1960's westinghouse spinjet cannister vacuum...i broke the white plastic neck elbow that swivels on the head and goes to the 1 1/4 inch metal wand tube. is there any place to get the whole head or the plastic part or is there someone who can make the part using a 3D printer or sand casting or CAD or something reasonable. any info let me know.

someone said it may be made by preco company as they made heads for lots of companies at that time..i have no info on them..

i did see a brand new westinghouse upright vac on overstock . i thought westinghouse went out of vacuum business long ago. i also saw new central whole house vacuum heads made by preco. replacent universal turbo air powered rotary rug brushes made in china i see on ebay, home depot, amazon. i have no idea which one is decent and easy to clean.

That is a Preco Powerbrush, made for Westinghouse

As well as Singer etc, The Westinghouse of old is LONG gone, what is sold today is just a cheap vac with a WH label on it, a real Westinghouse is a GOOD vacuum as I have several and love them,im sure Preco parts can be found in this group of guys!

Hey Spinjet! Would love to see a few pics of the whole vacuum, as I have a soft spot for G.E. and Westinghouse canisters. Can't help you with your part, but will keep my eyes open. Thanks, Toby G.

Preco nozzle

Yes.Mine.It was hiding in a corner upstairs and may be the last here except for a complete Singer canister with EVERYTHING that is in line for EBay.(But there are other corners waiting to be sorted!)
"some of the coolest stuff"-You have no idea!I know you have no idea as I barely do myself with the upstairs, attic, remains of warehouse, storage areas that are up a ladder, etc.
If any want to come and check the other corners there needs to be a fall clean out if time and other problems allow.Call if interested--423-268-4841,Jimmy
