I've been looking for a Rainbow not $2,000.00. My good friend Eric AKA ttuuee agreed to rebuild the canister for me. Per the bill of sale included in the paperwork, this was one of the last SE's as it was sold for $1,814.66 on 8-29-1997. I got it for $100. It included the electric trigger hose, PE power nozzle, attachments, wet pick up hose, dolly, tool holder, Rainbow shampoo, and Aqua Mate. Pictures show parts pieces rebuild and such.

Parts needed

I should add that it only needed a new brush roll, belt, bearings, and a pan gasket. I don't think that's too shabby considering its apparent the previous owner abused the bong vac. :)

Abused

You can say that again! BUT it all comes clean in the end, right? Fantastic cleanup (kind of reminds me of my current Hoover concept cleanup, ugh)!

Have you had the chance to try it out yet? It's still probably in pieces, isn't it? I love my E-series (used it today, actually) hope you enjoy your D4 SE PE!

I have all the attachments and Eric has the trigger hose and the main unit. It's all back together and running amazingly and should be shipped to me next week!! ;)

That's quite an amazing transformation! I love finding "diamonds in the rough" like this and restoring them to their original beauty.
