With a great appreciation, I am posting this thread, to thank my dearest friend Mrs. Avis Gillman, from Bedfordview, who has given me something I have only heard off in history.

A Swis green Kartell (Made in Italy) Rug/Carpet beater. It is made of a durable material, stronger than the usual plastic, with a flexibility. It is 61 cm in length.

This particular beater was used by an elderly Italian lady, whom resided in the retirement village, who used it. According to Ms. Gillman, the Italian lady had a hood similar to a shower cap, to avoid dust overcast during this frequent excercise. When done, the rugs where taken back in and placed where they were complimenting the décor.

Thank you so much Avis, I appreciate it, and with pride add it to my collection of vintage vacuum cleaners.

Adrian

Wasn't there slogan "We beat the S*** out of your carpets, so you don't have to"?
