Awesome find. Visiting a thrift shop, I have not been to in a while, I found this Hitachi CV-145.

At first I only found the machine, however after a search, the bag of accessories also made it's appearance.

I was over the moon. It was complete and original. Even the Cord was 100% original without any kind of repair or socket change. No signs of hard scuffs and machines much younger vouching of beatings.

I took the pictures prior to cleaning, hence excuse the dusty look. It purrs like a kitten and runs quietly and smooth, with a very good suction.

She will be cleaned from the storage dust and glorify in her true shiny self.

Does any one outside the borders of South-Africa have some kind of information on this machine.

The UK had a semi-commercial version of that same cleaner, except it was blue with a larger metal drum. Very good cleaner.

My Cv145. Absolutely love it.

These were surprisingly popular here in their day and most of them are still running.

I know of a few households were this is still their everyday vacuum.

one of the nicest vacuums from the late 70ties / early 80ties. Our neighburs owned the Hitachi CV160 in green and another one in orange. congratulation to your find!
